History

The original structure at 1319 Tiffin Avenue was built in 1885 for a brewer, August Kuebeler. His brother Jacob had a twin house across the street. Their brewery was just south of the two houses. August and his wife lived here until they passed. Their only son, August Jr, had no children.

The house sat vacant until Erie county bought it in 1947 to use as a group home for juveniles.

The East wing was built on the back in 1978.

The West wing was built in 1980.

The builing was vacated May of 2003 and put up for auction.

Timothy and Annessia won the house at auction October of 2003.

They took possession in May of 2004 and began turning the cells of the West wing into the main Ballroom while teaching in a room in the East wing.

April 30th, 2005 Black Tie Dance Studio had their Grand Opening.
